Wednesday May 18

Drove to the small village of Behramkale where I bought some wool socks from a local lady.

this is probably my favorite picture ever taken to date. this cute little old lady peeked out of her home to say hello as we walked by.

even saw my first Turkey Turkey in the village.

Hiked up through the city to a place called Assos to see the remains of the temple of Athena

the temple of Athena was built in the 6th century BC.

Can see the island of Lesbos from here... just sayin.. kyfly. maceface.

Then back in the car for some more driving. (spent well over 30 hours in that bus over the week)
dipped our feet in the Agean Sea to stretch our legs from the uber long bus ride.

more and more and more and more boats, specifically for caleb and ryno.

Finally made it to Pergamum (one of the seven churches of Revelation) as we got on a gondola and cruised to the "seat of satan".

sometimes seeing all the sights isn't any fun.
isn't that theater on the side of the hill breathtaking?
"speak no evil". "see no evil". "hear no evil". w/ "satan"... aka Bro Judd in front of the "seat of Satan"

me and jamie reenacting like always.

next stop the Asklepieion! The health center, for the God of Medicine Asclepios.

and then finished the day at the Carpet factory. Free cherry juice to drink on the carpet. great marketing strategy if you ask me. as if they were begging us to buy the carpets. pretty sure cherry's stain right?

never be to busy to pull over and dip your feet in the sea.

it is written.
