The next day we made the journey to Troas.
We took a brief ferry ride to cross from Europe to Asia to get there.
after the ferry we drove toward Troy. We saw a local shepherd, our tour guide couldn't resist the opportunity to pull over and pet some local Turkey Sheep.
Full of diseases? most likely, but i couldn't resist!
Also got out of the car for a brief look at the scenery. beautiful.
and some bathroom breaks where we found some random souvenirs.
And finally made it to TROY!
Put our Trojan faces on.. and even reenacted the iliad as we marched in the Trojan horse.
left the historic site, and made it to the town Canakkule. The actual trojan horse from the actual movie troy with the actual actor brad pitt was in the middle of the pier. made for some great pictures.
after dinner we enjoyed exploring the wonderful wharf. lined with boats and locals, i couldn't be happier.
and watched the beautiful sunset.

good news... i have found the one. we are engaged to be marriaged. heres our announcement photo, so mom please print off 50 of them and put them into envelopes by the time i get back... thanks.
despite everyone's desire to convince me otherwise, i believe the battle of Troy with the Trojan Horse is more than a myth. it happened.
believe in magic, enjoy sunsets, and never say no to ice cream on the dock.
