Playing catch up::

1 hr bus ride to airport.

3 hr airport security+waiting time.

2 hr flight with a nice south african lady sitting next to me.

all to arrive in none other than...

ISTANBUL!

There we met our ponytailed tour guide Bulant (to be pictured later)

and boarded our bus to see the city as we drove to our hotel.

(little did we know then, we would be seeing a lot of that bus)

Beautiful city.

Make like thanksgiving and feast your eyes on this:

we stayed at the "cartoon hotel," no exaggeration in the name, or the decor:

Had dinner on the roof of the hotel. 5 courses and 3 hours later (again no exaggeration) and we got some sleep.
