sorry for the interruption.

i promise i will completely catch up my blog as soon as my 7 page paper final for Palestinian class is done (cross your fingers it's tonight or tomorrow). but in the mean time i wanted to break up my catch up posts and say:

i love america.

We celebrated the fourth of July in bethlehem this year (pictures to come) but it wasn't the same.
today we celebrated at the center.

we had CHEESEBURGERS, Steak, hotdogs, french fries, corn on the cob, sparklers, i was the face painter of the night, sang the i'm proud to be an american song, pledged allegiance to the flag, ate pie, baked potatoes and watermelon lemonaid.

i promise i will post tons about this event when i catch up in the next few days.
but for now i'll leave you with this image...

and this thought:

we are truly lucky for getting to live in a country where there are no walls. Where people treat each other with love and respect. where the children can play with those who look or act different than them. pray for peace here in this very special holy land i am staying in, but please don't forget to pray with grateful hearts for the place we all get to so freely enjoy everyday. don't take for granted the cheese on your burgers.
-it is written.
